Recent 6th Grade Girls News
We are now on our way! Thank you very much for your participation in the Team and Individual goal writing! Now we can work together to achieve those goals.
I am looking for an assistant coach. If you know anyone who can help in this capacity, please let me know.
Please remember all players will be required to wear mouthguards to protect against concussions!

Welcome everyone to the 2011-2012 basketball season! I am excited to begin this journey with the girls. I look forward to learning together as a team. I will be asking for a couple things for the season.
#1 I ask that at the first practice each girl comes prepare to provide a team goal and an individual goal. Parents are welcome to come with a team goal as well. We will be sharing the team goals at the practice so everyone can take part in making them happen over the course of the season.
#2 I will be handing out a schedule and some information regarding concussions. In an efffort to proactively avoid concussions, I will be asking all of the girls to wear a mouthguard during games.
# 3 I ask that any parents with suggestions or concerns, please bring them to me. I have never done this before and do not want to pretend we are not all in this together!
#4 I will discuss with the girls how we will handle playing time. I am a big believer in everyone getting playing time and if you make the commitment, you will play! This age is intended to learn fundamentals and to create a love of the game. This is where our focus will be.
I think that is all for now. Hopefully most of you can join us for the varsity clinic on Thursday, October 20 at 6:15 (High school main). Otherwise i will see everyone on October 25 at 6:30 for our first team meeting followed by practice in the old high school gym 7:00-8:30.
